Because of its large reserves, high grade, shallow burial and easy exploitation, magnesite resources in Liaoning province have certain export advantages. After decades of development, the suppliers of backward refractory materials (light magnesite ball, light magnesia powder, bitter soil powder, etc.) to the world's light magnesia powder suppliers before the founding of new China have made remarkable achievements in the light burning magnesia powder industry in China. Since 1980, only one of the refractory exporters of China's five mines to more than a thousand export enterprises, the export volume increased from 125 thousand tons in 1980 to 2 million tons at the peak of the peak. China's light burning magnesia industry and export trade have grown rapidly. In the past twenty or thirty years, China has long dominated the demand for light magnesia powder in the world's steel, building materials and other industries. The world's light burned magnesia users have become more and more dependent on the light magnesia powder for magnesium chloride exported to China. China serves as the world's main supplier of light burned magnesia powder, supplying 60% of the world's demand for light burned magnesia annually. Among them, the export of light burned magnesia in Liaoning accounted for 95% of the country. There are hundreds of enterprises producing magnesia refractories in Liaoning. Compared with the early days of new China, the export volume increased by nearly 100 times. However, with the rapid development of the output and export volume of light burned magnesia, many restricting factors for the further development of China's calcined Magnesium Oxide industry are also gradually emerging.

Problem 1: due to nearly years of predatory exploitation, the reserves of high-quality magnesium ore resources have declined rapidly, and the exploitation of high-quality ores has been decreasing year by year.

Problem two: because of the slow progress of technology, the high-end light magnesia powder products are still controlled by foreign producers, especially the technology of making high grade light magnesia powder from low grade magnesite is still not a breakthrough. With the continuous exhaustion of high quality magnesite, the quality of magnesia products is declining.

Question three: China's Magnesia production and export enterprises have been showing "scattered, multiple, small" phenomenon, industry order and standards are not perfect.
