There are two traditional methods for temperature measurement in tunnel kiln: one is to use thermocouples to measure temperature. This method is characterized by high temperature measurement accuracy. It can connect non paper recorder or controller system to close loop control. Its shortcoming is short life, especially in high temperature kiln above 1300 centigrade, its galvanic consumption is very large and the price is very expensive, the equipment is run into The second method is the optical pyrometer, which is based on the color of the measured object to measure the temperature. Because it does not contact the high temperature area directly, it has long service life, but the measurement accuracy is low, and the influence of human factors is poor. The above shortcomings can be effectively overcome by using infrared thermometer.

Paperless recorder has high measurement precision, and it can output electrical signals like thermocouples and automatically record and control them. It has the advantages of long service life, simple operation and small human error. Therefore, the infrared thermometer is an ideal temperature measuring instrument for high temperature tunnel kiln. In the application of tunnel thermometer in tunnel kiln, according to the different requirements of users, there are two kinds of commonly used schemes: single point temperature measurement and multi-point switching temperature measurement.

In the use of other refractory kilns, such as down flame kiln and prismatic kiln, because of the fewer measuring points, the flow accumulator adopts more single point temperature measurement schemes. The hand-held infrared thermometer is also used, but the instrument can only detect intermittent temperature of the kiln, and every measurement record must be manually operated.
